Since the 1980s Italian photographer Franco Fontana has carried out a parallel production to his well known colourful landscapes – in the form of a series of intimate, frequently playful Polaroids.

Albeit a more immediate medium, communicating a direct emotion rather than a meditated composition, the themes dear to Fontana are all present in these little visual moments where scapes of all forms – land, urban, and body – are captured through their bright colours and perspective illusions, with an added dose of light-hearted humour.

Each work is unique and available at £ 1,750 plus VAT.
