The Last Dolls by Bob Carlos Clarke
20th Anniversary Exhibition in partnership with The Little Black Gallery, London. Curated by Brandei Estes.
Marking the 20th anniversary since the death of the legendary photographer in 2006, and the first London exhibition of Carlos Clarke for a decade.
Ghislain Pascal, co-founder of The Little Black Gallery, former agent to Carlos Carke, & Manager of The Estate of Bob Carlos Clarke said: “Sexy is back! The past ten years have been SO boring. Bob would have hated it. It’s only fitting on the 20th anniversary that we shake things up in London and celebrate his amazing legacy with this sensational exhibition.”
“Bob Carlos Clarke was the William Burroughs of photography. Transgressive, provocative, dark and permanently on the edge of taboo.”
– Ben Burdett, Director and Owner, Atlas Gallery.
“Is he photographing what he desires or photographing what he fears? I suspect the answer is both”
– Philippe Garner, long time friend of the artist
