Photofairs New York
This September Atlas Gallery is proud to be participating in Photofairs NY inaugural debut at the Javits Center in New York. The fair will take place from the 8th to the 10th of September with a VIP opening on the 7th.
Atlas will be presenting an exciting variety of artists from its roster with contemporary works by Nick Brandt, Patrick Demarchelier, Franco Fontana, Andreas Gefeller, Kacper Kowalski and Niko Luoma as well as vintage prints of George Hoyningen-Huene most well-known images which are signed by Horst P Horst and a display of unique ceramic vases by Glithero.
One of the highlight from our booth is the world premiere of Nick Brandt’s ‘SINK / RISE’ the third chapter of his global series ‘The Day May Break’. This third chapter focuses on South Pacific Islanders impacted by rising oceans from climate change.
Nature and the environment will continue to be a central part of our booth with a large work from Andreas Gefeller’s ‘Clouds’ series, a symbol of the forces of nature and a visual comment on man-made global warming. Finally we will show a selection of works by Franco Fontana, the pioneering Italian colour photographer known for his intense and abstract landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes.
