Elliott Erwitt Last Laugh
A Celebration of Wit, Humanity, and the Iconic Lens of a Legend
We are proud to present Elliott Erwitt Last Laughs, a mini-retrospective honouring the late, great photographer Elliott Erwitt, whose timeless images captured the humour, irony, and soul of the human (and canine) condition. Erwitt, who passed away in 2023, left behind a legacy of photography that is both poignant, playfully observant and unmistakably human.
Last Laughs brings together a carefully curated selection of his most iconic works alongside lesser-known studies, spanning a career that lasted more than seven decades. Erwitt photographed across continents, from iconic cities like New York, London and Paris to quiet corners of the world in Ireland and Provence, capturing life with unmatched warmth, humour, and wit.
From his unforgettable dog portraits and wry street scenes to candid shots of historical moments and figures, including Marilyn Monroe, Che Guevara, and Jackie Kennedy, Erwitt’s photography reveals a rare ability to find lightness, paradox and humanity in both everyday life and monumental events.
