Bastiaan Woudt’s iconic black and white photographs wear their perfection lightly. Within each image, contrasting elements of shapes, texture and charcoal tones come together in perfect sculptural and geometric forms captivating the viewer with their beauty. Inspired by some of the greatest photographers of the 20th Century such as Irving Penn, Richard Avedon, Man Ray and Bill Brandt, Bastiaan Woudt has created his own unique style. Experimenting with modern techniques Woudt honours photography while exploring how modern in-camera methods and post-production can elevate the style of today.

Bastiaan Woudt (1987, NL) is a sought-after photographer that started a mere ten years ago without formal training. Besides his raw talent, he owes his rise in the art world to a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial edge. From emotive portraits to mystic landscape photography, he is known to capture monochrome minimalism at its finest.
