Tony McGee
Overview
Tony McGee is a photographer and filmmaker, renowned for his energy and devotion to his work. He discovered the camera at the age of twelve, fascinated by the fusion of science and art that realised itself in a photograph. Living in Chelsea, London, he became a fashion photographer at the age of sixteen, and by seventeen he had shot covers for Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue.
At the age of twenty-five he directed his first television commercial, winning gold at the Cannes Lions International Advertising and Film Festival. Following that success he went on to direct over two hundred and fifty commercials for television and cinema. Tony has also worked on campaigns for L’Oreal, Nestle, Proctor and Gamble, Rolex, Nivea, and Chanel.
Tony is based in his beloved London, working as busily as ever covering editorial and advertising assignments, as well as creating special projects of his fine art photography.
