David Drebin
Overview
David Drebin’s distinctive work combines voyeuristic and psychological viewpoints, in addition to vast cinematic landscape, offering the viewer a dramatic insight into very personal, sometimes erotic, but subconscious emotions and experiences. After graduating from Parsons School of Design in New York City in 1996, Drebin rapidly made a name for himself as an internationally renowned photographer. In a unique and opulent way, Drebin stages femme fatales against the gigantic backdrops of cities such as Hong Kong, New York, and Paris. The panoramas of these big cities, are cinematic and epic and printed to very large size formats. With their impressive skyscrapers, they provide the viewer with an infinite surface for the imagination. Drebin’s many monographs include Chasing Paradise (2015), The Morning After (2010) and Beautiful Disasters (2012).
